The Axis T200 is our turning centre: a 45° slant-bed lathe with a driven turret and an optional synchronised sub-spindle, for shops making round parts that would otherwise need a second operation on a mill.
Where it fits
Turning is rarely the whole job. A shaft needs a flat; a fitting needs a cross hole; a connector needs a thread on the back face. Every one of those is a second setup on a milling machine: another fixture, another queue, another tolerance stack.
With live tooling those features are cut on the turret while the part is still in the chuck. With the sub-spindle, the part is handed off and the back face is finished too. The part comes off complete.
Lights-out turning
Paired with a bar feeder, the T200 is the easiest machine in our range to run unattended. Small round parts, gravity chip clearance and a bar magazine mean a long unmanned run is a matter of tooling life rather than supervision.
